Support for civil society and local state actors to prevent chronic malnutrition and infant mortality in the Hauts-Bassins region, Burkina Faso This project is implemented in the Hauts-Bassins region, the province of Houet and the municipality of Bama. Its objective is to help prevent chronic malnutrition and infant mortality by providing support to civil society and local state actors. The beneficiaries are 3,000 very poor and poor households in seven villages in the commune of Bama. The project is implemented in partnership with the municipality of Bama, the regional health directorate of Hauts-Bassins, the health district of Dandé and the ADSB of Bama. So far, the activities that have been carried out are the targeting of project beneficiaries, the formation of women in nutrition education groups, the implementation of nutrition education activities and the implementation of income-generating activities within beneficiary households.
