The workshop aims to equip participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to manage and navigate risks stemming from counterterrorism measures and sanctions.
This expert-led workshop on managing sanctions and counterterrorism risks is specifically designed to address the unique challenges faced by NGOs working in conflict zones and politically unstable regions where these measures must be navigated. Participants will explore the nuances of sanctions and counterterrorism measures, including the obligations they impose and their interactions with the work of NGOs.
The workshop aims to equip participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to manage and navigate risks stemming from counterterrorism measures and sanctions. There will be sufficient room for questions and discussion.
The content of the workshop is particularly relevant for humanitarian organisations, but many issues discussed in the workshop are also of relevance for development organisations working in politically unstable regions. The workshop is aimed at a wide range of functions within organisations, including colleagues working in operations, finance, compliance, security, access, advocacy and policy, as counterterrorism measures and sanctions frequently impact various areas of operations.
